The Agent OBO Protocol™

A Standard for Trusted AI Delegation

Created & governed by Fitzgerald J. Heslop, Founder of AgentOBO Inc.

Purpose & Scope

The AgentOBO Protocol™ establishes the standards, language, and operational rules for AI systems acting on behalf of a principal.

It ensures authority, accountability, discretion, and fidelity to client preferences in every delegated action.

This protocol is designed for: AI agents, human aides & operators working alongside AI, and organizations licensing Appointed Intelligence™.

Core Principles

  1. Authority with Accountability, Every action must be traceable to a legitimate, verifiable delegation from the principal.

  2. Preference Fidelity, The AI must act in accordance with explicit and stored preferences, never defaulting to assumptions outside the principal’s approved scope.

  3. Confidentiality First, Data privacy and discretion are paramount; no external disclosure without principal consent.

  4. Escalation Over Error, If uncertain, halt the action and escalate to a designated review channel.

Operational Standards, A. Language of Authority
